Research Report on Weekend Activities

1. Plan your research report about your classmates. Look back at the groups you created in Part 4. Each group will be the topic of a paragraph. Write a topic sentence for each of three groups or four groups you made.

Paragraph 2 : Fun activity to do on the weekend is hang out with friends, family, or boyfriend/girlfriend.
Paragraph 3 : Doing hobbies such as swimming or another kind of sports, reading novels or watching movies.
Paragraph 4 : Cleaning room and washing clothes.
Paragraph 5 : The most favourite one is hang out with friends, family or boyfriend/girlfriend.

2. Write a draft of the concluding paragraph for your composition. It can either summarize or evaluate the results, or it can predict the future.

There are lots of activities to do on the weekend. Some people would like to enjoy their free times with people they loved such family, friends, partner or people around them. Besides, there are kind of people who like to enjoy their free times only by theirself. Based on my research, I found that most of them like to spend their free times with people they loved either for hang out together or eat or do things that they love.

3. Now write your research report on a separate piece of paper. Be sure to include a title and an introductory paragraph.

      What usually everyone does on the weekend ? Do they like to fill their weekends as well as possible or just let weekends pass without doing something please? I conducted a survey and from the result I found that there are top three kinds of activities that people loved the most. Those activities consist of hang out with close people, doing hobbies, and cleaning their room.
       The largest group is people who like to fill their weekends with hang out together with their family, friends, or boyfriend/girlfriend. Since I conducted this survey on youth, they prefer to hang out than just stay at home because they are still young and they have big spirit to have some journeys. Moreover another reason why they like to hangout is because they are bored with their daily activities so they need some refreshment.
       Almost half of them like to spend their weekends with doing their hobbies such as swimming or another kind of sports, reading novels or watching movies. According to some people have had enough time for doing their hobbies are the best thing they can do. Having enough time to do hobbies has been wait since long time.
        The rest of them love to spend their weekends to clean room or wash clothes. Just a few people like to do this kind of activity during their weekends. Usually people who like this activity is people who love cleanliness or people who is busy with their daily activities during weekdays. Therefore, they only have time on weekend.
        In conclusion,  most people like to spend their weekends to hang out with their family, friends or boyfriend/girlfriend. They can go to entertainment place, natural place, go to culinary place for tasting the new food or delicious food or go to shopping center.
     

Special Day with Them

1. Plan your composition about an important event in your life. Write the introductory paragraph and include an attention getter, the main idea of the composition, and the guide.
Attention Getter : Do you have a squad ? How do you feel when you are with them ? Of course you will be happy, feeling excited and that feeling can not be described with words.
Main Idea : I have close friends in high school and I think that they are more than just friends for me, they are like my family.

2. Write topic sentences for your second, third, and fourth paragraphs.
Paragraph 2 : Why I love being around them...
Paragraph 3 : What usually we do when we are together...
Paragraph 4 : They are very meaningful for me...

3. Now put the parts together, and on separate piece of paper, write a four paragraph composition.

 Special Day with Them

         Do you have a squad ? How do you feel when you are with them ? Of course you will be happy, feeling excited and that feeling can not be described with words.  I have close friends in high school and I think that they are more than just friends for me, they are like my family. Surely sometimes we fought each other however we know that we love each other. We come from the same province but different town. Previously we did not know each other until we met in a high school in another province. We are united in a group based on our hometown. The name of the group is JASSA PAPUA-MALUKU. The group is be named like that because we come from Papua and Maluku province.

          As a student who came from another province you must be feel strange with that new environment. It would be better if you find people who have same hometown with you. Sharing and take care of each other, you could feel more comfortable. I love when I am being with them, not only just because we came from the same place. However I like their personality, we make jokes and laugh together, we fight together to achieve our future goals.

           Once in two years my high school held an event, the event's name is "PELANGI BANGSAKU". This is an event that shows our traditional (Indonesian) culture from Sabang to Merauke. Every island in Indonesia has their own culture so students who come from that island have to display their traditional culture. I and my friends that I called family usually gather in a place to practise traditional dance and traditional songs to be showed on that event. Those days when we were gather together to practise are so fun. Although it was tiring because we must practise from after school until evening, but we love it we enjoyed that time. We fight together, we felt up and down together, we tried to gave our best. On the day when we displayed our performance we felt excited and after that we felt sad and we were crying together because we knew we should back to our daily routine as a student without gather to practise anymore especially that was my last year with them in high school. Our sadness did not last long because at the end of the event we heard that we became the winner for best performance. We hugged each other to show our happiness.

             My high school life was so awesome because of them. They are so meaningful for me, they made me feeling like i was not alone there. They like my second home, every time I felt sad and need their help they always being there for me. When we were being together we always laughed and that made another felt envy of us.
