Three Goals of Mine

1. Plan your letter. Think of your three goals. Write a topic sentence for each one.
Goal 1 : I want to graduate as fast as possible from this university.
Goal 2 : I hope while I'm studying here, my english skill can be improved.
Goal 3 : Not only obtain high GPA but also I can get a lot of knowledge.

2. Write a conclusion for your letter in the space provided. It should give an evoluation of your goals.
In conclusion, I have set three goals for myself. I really hope can achieve all of my goals while I'm studying here. Possibly for some people my goals are pretty simple and easy to achieve. Moreover for me it's little difficult because I have to resist my laziness to study well and be wise to learn something new from some conditions which worthwhile for future life.

This is a letter I am writing to myself with three goals in it. I will open this letter after I graduated from President University. I am making this letter as a promise with myself committed to implement. The goals I have set for myself are graduate as fast as possible, good english skill, and  get a lot of knowledge. Now I will explain more about those goals and how I plan to achieve them.
First, I want to graduate as fast as possible from this university. I think everyone is also agree with it except they are too lazy or afraid of facing work life. Actually why I want to graduate fast is because I want to be an independent girl who can make money by myself and not relying on parents. Besides, I want to feel a new atmosphere in work life because I am bored with situations where we only have to study for a test and do assignments to get score. I want to be a diligent student who is doing all of assignments, study well, attend classes so I have no retake and then I can graduate fast.
Second, as we known that English is International language so I hope while I'm studying here, my english skill can be improved. Almost all of people in the world can speak english. As we known that economic activities in the world are using english and I as a management student who will be engaged in economy world I have to be good in english. I plan to improve my english in ways don't be shy to use english in everyday conversation, speak with foreigners, and pay more attention in english class.
Last but no least, I hope that not only obtain high GPA but also I can get a lot of knowledge. I have read a quote that said "Don't study to earn, study to learn. What you learn today is what you become tomorrow" I strongly agree with that quote. Since I was in junior high school I always apply that quote also my teacher in junior high school used to said to me that "Try to understand what you have learned and not only memorizing the material to get high score in exam so you can fully understand". I always remember that and always apply for learning.

THESIS : LECTURERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MOTIVATING STUDENT TO LEARN

Thesis : Lecturers are not responsible for motivating students to learn.
First Argument : College students are different with high school students.
Second Argument : Motivation is not only from lecturers.
Third Argument : College life is to prepare work life.
Counter Argument : Lecturers are the one who give knowledge to students it means they are the one who have big role in a class.
Conclusion : Motivate students are not lecturers' responsibility but lecturers could motivate students to learn.

Have you felt that lecturers did not give you motivate in your college life ? What do you think about lecturers who give you motivate ? Do you find that motivation from lecturers is helpful enough ? I do believe that Lecturers are not responsible fot motivating students to learn. This thesis means that lecturer do not have responsibility for motivating students in university. However, they can do motivate students to learn.
College student is different with high school students. College student is mature enough to control him/herself. The average age of students in university are above 17th. At that age usually people are mature enough to manage theirself in spite of we can't judge someone by their age to know about their character. In high school every knowledge we got from teachers because every day teacher should teach in front of us in a class, but in college not every single knowledge we got from lecturers because some lecturer just gives the topic and then we have to search the explanation by ourself.
Motivation is not only from lecturer. Since college students are mature enough to manage theirself likewise to find motivate for them. Actually the main motivation is from ourself however we still need another people to strengthen the motivation. As an example parents can be our motivation to achieve our goals in college or someone special like boyfriend or girlfriend it can be more motivate us while we are studying.
College life as a training to the real work life. Does in a work life still have someone like lecturer who give you a motivation ? I'm pretty sure that there is no boss who wants to motivate their subordinate. Even though there must be a boss who wants to motivate their subordinate but they will feel unhappy with it.
Lecturers are the one who give knowledge to students it means they are the one who have big role in a class. Some people said that the lecturers have a big role in class, learning process in a class depends on the lecturer. They would have big spirit in learning if the lecturer gives motivation to the students.
Motivate students are not lecturers' responsibility but lecturers could motivate students to learn. There is no prohibiton that the lecturers can not motivation the students to learn. I do believe that students also need motivation from the lecturers. However motivation isn't only comes from the lecturer and that's not lecturers' responsibility.
